FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, April 9
HILLSBORO, OR – The public is invited to the official unveiling of Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro’s recently expanded clinic during an open house event on Thursday, May 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. Owner and lead physical therapist Kent Bond, PT, says the evening will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and attendees will enjoy food, live music, wine, demonstrations, and door prizes.
“We’re thrilled to open our doors to the public, meet new people and offer some hospitality and fun in celebration of our recent expansion,” Bond said. “What we’re really celebrating is our ability to better serve the needs of our clients, whether they come in for rehabilitation, pain reduction or athletic performance enhancement.”
Attendees of the open house will have the chance to tour the facility while nibbling on food from Reedville Catering, sipping wine from Raptor Ridge Winery, and listening to live music by local musicians. Raffle prizes will be given away throughout the evening, such as Hillsboro Hops baseball tickets, three-month memberships to the Hawthorn Farm Athletic Club, and wine from Raptor Ridge Winery.
Citing continued growth and a desire to better accommodate the rehabilitation, prevention and educational needs of his clients, Bond recently acquired an additional 1,055 square feet of space adjacent to his established practice. The new space, which opened earlier this year, effectively expanded Impact Physical Therapy’s facility by 50 percent.
“On certain days, it got pretty crowded around here, and this new space allows us to be able to grow and enhance our present services,” Bond said. “We wanted to expand into BikeFit analysis and have a space designated for motion analysis, a service we currently offer but which was limited because, until now, we didn’t have the space we needed.”
Bond’s staff will provide demonstrations on BikeFit analysis, Y Balance screenings and Dartfish Motion Analysis at the open house event. In the future, Bond says he would eventually like to grow his services by offering a personal training component, massage therapy and perhaps even acupuncture.
Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro currently employs three full-time physical therapists and two PT aides, offering clients a total of more than 50 years of physical therapy experience treating clients experiencing a variety of ailments and goals – from stroke rehabilitation and spinal cord trauma to high-level sports performance.
In addition, the staff offers functional movement screens to people of all ages and abilities, as well as free sports consultations for local student-athletes.
