Getting Started with physical therapy at Impact
An Impact physical therapist will perform a comprehensive physical exam to assess your abilities and deficits. The components of the exam vary depending on your needs. Based on the exam findings and goals, therapist and patient collaborate and develop a treatment plan. Treatment plans typically includes manual therapies (such as massage and joint mobilization) and a prescription of, or assistance with, specific exercises. Explore some of the technologies and techniques we use at Impact in the column to the left.
All Impact clients are given a summary of the findings of their examination, their treatment plan, and other resources such educational materials on their condition. Following consultation, you’ll be scheduled for additional treatment sessions for hands-on care or prescribed a detailed plan for independent management, or both.
