Impact Physical Therapy Open House a Success
HILLSBORO, OR – The added square footage of space at Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro was recently put to good use as dozens of clients, community leaders, referral partners, and friends joined Impact PT staff to officially celebrate the clinic’s expansion during an open house event on May 9th.
A three-piece jazz trio set the tone for the evening as nearly 100 attendees mixed and mingled, nibbled food from Reedville Catering, sipped wine from Raptor Ridge Winery, met the Impact Physical Therapy staff and toured the facility, which recently expanded by 1,055 square feet – a 50 percent increase in space.
According to Impact Physical Therapy owner and lead physical therapist, Kent Bond, PT, the atmosphere was a festive one.
“Most everyone stayed and had a great time,” he said. “They didn’t just grab a chicken skewer and leave. From the music, the food, the wine and the raffles to the fun, positive vibe, it all came together to make a nice evening.”
Local business leaders, representatives from the area’s medical community and past and current clients all came together, Bond said, to make the event a successful one.
“It was fun to see past clients come in and marvel at the expanse – the space, the colors, the new equipment … everything,” he said. “It was really nice to hear ‘Wow!’ throughout the night.”
A bit of a baseball theme emerged during the evening, as well, with attendees including a representative from the Hillsboro Hops as well as an entire team of uniformed 13- and 14-year-old players from a Junior Baseball of Oregon team long sponsored by Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro.
These sluggers fit well with much of Hillsboro PT’s décor, some of which plays off the theme of famous sports rivalries, like Oregon-Oregon State and the New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox matchups. One room also features mascot logos from all area high school sports teams, décor painted by Bond’s daughter nine years ago and salvaged for use in the new space.
“On certain days in our old space, it got pretty crowded around here, and this new space allows us to be able to grow and enhance our present services,” Bond said. “We wanted to expand into BikeFit analysis and have a space designated for motion analysis, a service we currently offer but was limited because, until now, we didn’t have the space we needed.”
Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro currently employs three full-time physical therapists, offering clients a total of more than 50 years of physical therapy experience treating clients experiencing a variety of ailments and goals – from stroke rehabilitation and spinal cord trauma to high-level sports performance.
In addition, the staff offers functional movement screens to people of all ages and abilities, as well as free sports consultations for local student athletes.
